I'm amazed. You had a really valid point and I'm also with you on adoption being a really good idea. I've always said that it'd be a really life-altering experience in whichever form it comes.

I'm not feeling particularly pressured now, seeing as my cousin-in-law has taken the heat off us! My MIL is sometimes very, I suppose, thoughtless - it might never have occured to her that we might decide not to have children (for whatever reason, I have PCOS - a horrid ovarian problem which could make it difficult). It's just a de-facto thing, you get married, you have children. Even though she has at times lamented the fact that she had her first child when she was 24 and she said that it ruined her job prospects (she said this to her first-born as well, often). Double standards?!

Can't wait to hear what you get upto this weekend and, if at all possible, could I take you up on the offer to borrow the "home to big stone gap" book (I didn't know she'd released another one!)? I can send it back as soon as it's read and I'm very good at keeping books looking pristine!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3760241892170809781.post-42620300978955411872007-10-04T14:39:00.000+01:002007-10-04T14:39:00.000+01:00That was a big build uo to my name.
