It has to be said I do like it when Mr & Mrs LSM go on their Jollydays as they always return with something lovely! She has posted about some of the fab things she got so too so go and have a goosey!

A few weeks ago I posted regarding some fab vintage hankies she gave me... well... I got some more - sooo cute!!!

I also got some fab larder goodies in a fab reusable bag from "Eddies" - otherwise known as E. Leclerc!!! Dad has Christened it Eddies for some reason, I think it sounds fab said in your best scouse as Eeeeee Leclerc!!!!!

I shall have no need of plastic bags ever again!!!!

I hope that the weather is better everywhere else than it is here!!!

LSM's Quilts - with a little help from her friends

LSM (now a nickname that seems to have stuck) is a quilter, not your usual type on the sewing machine, oh no, she does everything by hand (bar the edges.. which I do anywhay so she does do everything by hand)

See - she should get a blog of her own then she can post all about the process seeing as she is just about to start on her next. I say she is I get the job of cutting out templates, the fabric and helping tack!!!

Every Picture Tells a Story

Its countdown time for my Mum. She is retiring 6 days from today and celebrating her 60th Birthday a few days after that. I unfortunately cannot post here about what we are getting her or anything that can be considered as surprise as she sometimes checks this blog and has been known to comment too (hello mum!) I should have kept it a secret until afterwards, still you can look forward to the pictures that tell the tale of the descent into lunacy that will be the retirement / birthday party we are having next weekend!

I was working on my bookmark design for the swap I'm participating in last night. I found a great book to send with it too, I'll hopefully get things finally made and sent off this weekend! It was such a pleasure to collapse into my chair with my sewing box (see below) that I love which was a present from my lovely siblings Sophers and Bertie. I hope that you all had a lovely evening too.

Perfect present

Today I have felt the joy that is discovering the perfect birthday present. My sister, bless her little cotton socks is known to be lovely, but somewhat fickle. With her birthday being in January, she can often be out of ideas of what she wants (I never have this problem, but I'll go into that at some other time...) after telling us all she wanted the cash, because she's off to Africa this year and is "saving" she decided she'd like something to open too....
I can't really say what this present is - in the hopes that she's going to read this, because she'll know but I'm so pleased that I managed it, with a few days to go! Its such a nice feeling, I more excited by it than she is, because I KNOW she'll love it! Happy Birthday for Sunday baby blister!
