I've got a new book....
Really... that's unusual Sarah! I hear you cry...
I've been in a complete creative slump recently, and in my - much talked about - done nothing about - effort to kick myself out of it, I got this book, to administer the much needed kick up the Arse-ne Wenger (sorry...can't swear it's Lent)
Well I'm liking it so far, I've been drawing mugs and chairs and even people I'm excellent at eyebrows I have discovered, so if you want a badly executed drawing of yourself - with excellent eyebrows - you know the woman to ask! However, I want to do something I'm better at, I have tasks to do to make things for the Africa night (will tell you more) but I want something to do that I want to do and this is where I'm stuck...... my hands are idle - bad sign - you know what they say about the devil and idle hands AND it's Lent too, so please help, save this nutter from herself and tell her what to make!

Oh Sarah...I'm going to love kicking back with a cup of tea and a good book...is there ANYTHING you can think of better? I've got a pan of banana nut muffins (made with Splenda) in the oven and I'll have to stand over them like gargoyles to keep Mac out of them!!!I was out of walnuts and had to swipe errr..borrow some pecans from Mac's hoard...so guess I'll have to share at least 1/4 of the dozen I've got baking....drats! I am just so in love with that Yorkshire tea, it's so smooth and while I still like my Earl Grey...nothing comes close to the Yorkshire...I am a good girl and when I fix it, I make a pot so Mac can share...isn't that good of me???

Hi there, I'm de-lurking, just had to leave a comment re: the potter puppets below. One of my friends was concerned about the (ahem) violence, (her kiddie is younger than mine), however the reply she got was priceless: "Mummy, it's not violent if it's funny when they die"......and how do you follow that!! All the best, a fellow librarian:-)
Hi Lisa,
I don't suppose you can follow that really can you!!!
Hi Sarah, just dropped in (pardon the noise...I seem to have run into your pot rack) to leave you this Valentine...now where did I put it? Ah, here it is...
Happy Valentine's Day, hope you get a lot of them!
hugs
Sandi
Sarah, I meant to ask, have you read The Lovely Bones? You'd enjoy it I believe, although it's not the type of book that entertains, just makes you appreciate your life
Try it! It's written by Alice Seabold

Hi The devil could drive your hands in the direction of a duster, mop ot vacuum. Now that would be good for your soul during lent!!!!!
Sarah, reading a book? Just checking in on you...
Sandi
What is your Mother suggesting? That you should do housework during Lent? Nah! Only if you have guests coming (and only then if they don't know you properly)
Go read The Lovely Bones... it is a cracking book, I'm with Sandie there! Very unusual storyline.
As for occupation..... try a game of card patience. I have a book of card games for one and sometimes when I am so bored I like to play the hard games to see how far I get before I cheat. It's fun!
Hello my lovely! Er, you're asking the wrong person to give you advice on something to make - I've done nothing at all creative for months now! I'm sure the inspiration will flow when you start doing the exercises, soon you will have plenty of ideas and not enough time! xxxx
ping pong ping pong ping pong ping, bananaphone.....
Well, let's see. How about some Africa style bunting for starters.
I don't think the dusting is a good idea. If the dust bunnies are happy then why disturb them. Just put up a sign which says, Please, admire the dust but don't write in it! That should do the trick long enough to get the bunting made at least.
Jenny. (Ducking for cover as a duster, hoover and mop are heading over from Grassendale)!
I don't have any suggestions I'm afraid. It's as much as I can do to get 'round to blogs and comment. But good luck with your bout of creativity, may it keep you going through lent!
